Burning Man
Prompted by the question: "What if Christian Dior went to Burning Man?", this collection was designed with the purpose of serving as accessories to accompany the late Mr. Dior on his adventure to the famous festival in Black Rock Desert.
What it spawned was a little collection designed to be derivative of traditional menswear accessories with a burning desert twist. The collection consists of 2 tie-pins turned into clips for a cap or hat, each with a small chain and pendant housing a cubic zirconia. And to give Mr. Dior something familiar, the third piece of the collection is a dystopian interpretation of the signet ring. It is a classic menswear piece turned into art piece worthy of the famous festival.

The tie pin is a classic addition to a man's formal wear wardrobe, so it was only fitting to turn it into an accessory for something much more utilized during the festival than a necktie. It could be something traded for other goods as currency, as it common practice at the festival.
The first pendant is a sandcasted water drop shape, housing a flush-set brilliant on its flat surface to sparkle in front of the wearers' eyes. The second pendant is inspired by an artpiece displayed at the festival and is a tube set brilliant suspended under an arch. Each pendant hangs from a hand-pulled wire chain, which is fastened to the wearer's hat with the slightly adorned tie pins.
Lastly, the ring features an incomplete circumference, and houses a cast-in-place rectangular cut stone which rests on a slant, catching light and reflecting the raw and rustic aesthetic of the fashion scene at burning man.
